Sad news, former Tout Wars participant and three-time champion Mike Lombardo has passed away. Mike played in National League Tout Wars from 2005-2009, winning the championship in 2005, 2007 and 2008. Mike was known for bucking the trend and spending more on catching and pitching than his competitors, with great success.
Despite leaving the industry over ten years ago, Mike was a welcome guest at the annual Tout Wars party at Foleys in New York City during draft weekend. Many of his friends enjoyed catching up with Mike at the event every March.
The Tout Wars board would like to express our heartfelt condolences to Mike’s family and friends. He will be missed.
