Sign Up For Doubt Wars Is Now Closed!

This is the place. The rules are the same as last year. Put together a $260 team paying what the Touts paid, plus $1. Compete against other Doubt Wars players, and at the end of the year we’ll add in the real Touts, too.

Winners win some small but nice prizes, like the Fantasy Baseball Guide, a copy of the Baseball Forecaster from BaseballHQ and a platinum subscription to Mastersball.com. But the real goal is to beat the Touts.

The AL and NL leagues are full, and there are just a few remaining spots available in the Mixed league.

FIll in the form and we’ll start adding names to leagues tonight. When you log in to onRoto.com you should see your entry listed. Draft your team and you’re on your way.

NOTICE: Make sure you’re drafting 23 players, 14 hitters and 9 pitchers, for $260 or less, just as they do it in Tout Wars. Note: The software doesn’t enforce roster limits, and if you have too many players or spend too much money your rosters will be arbitrarily cut on Monday, when we go live. So please get it right!

Your team must be completely entered by Monday morning, April 3rd.

  1. Once you’re registered at onRoto.com, sign in and your team should appear. Register with the same email name you used to register for Doubt Wars.
Team entry is in the Team Pages menu, under Make Transactions / Create Team.
If you want to change your team, use the Change Team menu.
Rosters will lock at noon on Monday!

  2. If you’re registered at onRoto you might not have gotten a reply. Just sign in and your team should be there.
But team entry will shut down at noon on Monday, so get your 23 man teams for $260 completed by then.

  3. I’ve sent a number of reminders to people who aren’t registered at onRoto.
If you are registered, you simply have to sign in at onRoto.com and your team should appear in the list.

  4. l am somewhat of a Luddite and can’t figure out what I have to do to get in the system and pick my
teams. I registered for American Turtles and National Turtles. I need help.

  5. Hmm. Put in a request several days ago, and never heard back. Did I botch it?

  6. Are there reserves or do we select just 23 players? (14 batters, 9 pitchers, 0 reserves)

  7. Here’s what I found in the Tout Wars Constitution …

Performance stats of a player shall be assigned to a Tout Wars team only when he is on the active roster of that team and on the active roster of a major league team in the appropriate league (or if post draft he has been traded away from that league to the other major league).

… which I think says players traded to “the other league” keep accruing stats. Do I have that right?

  8. If I’m in the NL only league … and one of my players gets traded to AL … do I get his AL stats or not?

    THANKS for having Doubt Wars!

  9. Entered from time to time. The first batch is up, which should included everyone who registered on Tuesday. More coming later today.

  10. When should we start seeing the onroto leagues? Is this entered as a batch process nightly/

    (not a complaint, just curious!)

    Thanks

  11. Think of it this way. This is an auction. Each of the Touts got to the winning bid before you. To win the player, you have to top them.

    That’s why it’s plus $1.

  12. The National Turtles and American Turtles are happy to participate again. Are we playing +1 or No +1.
