Perry Van Hook (aka Captain Hook) has been winning fantasy baseball leagues for 25 years. Perry is now the Content Manager for FantasyBaseball.com, having migrated there with the Mastersball group which he first joined several years ago.

Perry retired from a distinguished career in Wine Sales & Marketing and moved from Southern California to Surprise Arizona with his wife Chris in 2005. Surprise Stadium is the spring training home of the Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers and is a 10-15 minute golf cart ride from their house which is good because Perry is there before pitchers and catchers report in February through Spring Training, Rookie League, Instructional League and Arizona Fall League games.

In addition to his duties with FantasyBaseball.com, Perry is the Fantasy Baseball Examiner for Examiner.com; and scores spring training games for MLB.com. His article on the top performers in the 2008 AFL which appeared in Fantasy Sports magazine was highlighted by Alex Patton in a review of current baseball magazines for BaseballHQ.

In addition to AL and NL keeper leagues in Los Angeles that are over twenty years old, Perry competes in the National Fantasy Baseball Championships where he is a bridesmaid three times over in the auction leagues; plays in the XFL and is a first time participant in the NL LABR league this year after several years of being the best fantasy auctioneer for both LABR leagues as well as NFBC, NFFC, and WCOFF leagues.
